GREAT BEND, Kan. (AP) - Law enforcement officers are investigating an early morning shooting that has left one dead in rural Barton County.

Barton County 911 Director Nikki Atkinson said the Barton County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the report of a shooting in the eastern part of the county.

Atkinson said Officers had arrested a suspect but didn't provide any additional details.
