Hastings, Nebraska- The YWCA of Adams County presents the first ever Garage Ma Haul - a tour of fabulous garages in the area.  The YWCA has always been known for their annual garden and holiday tours.  Due to requests, the YWCA will have its first ever Garage Tour - known as the Garage Ma Haul. 

Garage Ma Haul will be held on May 30, 2009 from 2 pm to 6 pm.  Dale Christen, Terry and Susie Klatt, Todd and Tami Frazier, and Jack Sandeen will show their garages from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.  We will follow up in Kenesaw with tour of Dale Finnigsmier and Brent Schirmer garages and a BBQ, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.

Thanks to our many sponsors, Big G Ace, Bullseye, D&L Auto Repair, Dream Team Hair Care, and Menards, the YWCA will also host a poker run.  Each garage you will receive a card.  Best 5 card hands win prizes donated from our sponsors.  The poker hands will be turned in at the BBQ.

Tickets are on sale now at the YWCA, Dream Team Hair Care, and Landmark Edward Jones for $20 for a single ticket or $35 for couples.  Tickets include the Garage Tour, Poker Run, and BBQ.

The YWCA is excited to accommodate those who love their garages and dream big to make these garages their perfect hideaway.

The YWCA of Adams County also presents their annual garden tour - Garden Showcase on Saturday, June 13, from 9 am to 3 pm.

This year we are featuring six gardens in the Hastings area and the Arboretum at the Hastings Museum.

The gardens that will be open for touring are Mildred Bartling, Larry and Sherlyn Podewitz, Natalia Van Metre, Evelyn Boitano, Darrell Seeley, and Vicki Buss.  Tickets will be on sale beginning May 27, 2009.  Call the YWCA at (402)462-8821 for details or questions about either of the fundraising tours.
