HOLDREGE, Neb. (AP) - A south-central Nebraska woman accused of embezzling more than $700,000 from her former employer faces a new charge.

Teresa Erickson of Atlanta, Neb., appeared Monday afternoon in Phelps County Court, where she was charged with another count of theft. Erickson now faces 16 counts of felony theft.

She was bound over for trial, although a court date has not been set.

Authorities believe the 59-year-old Erickson took the money over a 9-year period while working at Sargent Irrigation in Holdrege. Erickson had worked at the company for 28 years.

She is out of jail on bond.
