The following is a press release from the Phelps County Attorney:
A 17-year-old male, Ronnie J. Bray of Holdrege, Nebraska, died as a result of injuries he sustained in a single vehicle accident which occurred at approxmately 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009 near the intersection of 18th Avenue and L Road in rural Phelps County, Nebraska. According to Tim Hoeft, Phelps County Attorney, Mr. Bray died at the scene of the accident and the Nebraska State Patrol and Phelps County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Mr. Bray was the driver of the vehicle. There were two passengers in the Bray vehicle who were tranported to Phelps Memorial Health Center by the Holdrege Volunteer Fire Department for treatment of injuries. Mr. Bray was partially ejected from the vehicle and it appears none of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not factor in the accident.

The passengers in the vehicle were 19-year-old Talon Williamson who was treated at Phelps Memorial and released and a 16-year-old female, who is listed in serious condition at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
