47 property tax protests were filed in Kearney County after some commercial and industrial assessments go up by hundreds of thousands of dollars.. 
   The appraiser that set these valuations tells NTV News it's all about finding fair market value.
   But according to public records, Wardcraft Homes in Minden saw their assessed values go from $246,000in 2008 to $898,000 in 2009.
   And not too far away, the Minden Country Club went from assessed values of $120,000 to nearly $610,000. 
   Those two facilities arent alone. A store in Axtell saw their valuation nearly double as did one in Wilcox.
   County Assessor Linda Larsen, for her part, said changes have been made to those properties and the appraiser was commissioned to get property valuations in order.
