SIDNEY, Neb. (AP) - A couple faces charges in Nebraska in the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl in 2004.

Joshua Manchester, 28, of Newport, Wash., has been charged in Cheyenne County Court with first-degree sexual assault. His wife, 23-year-old Crystal Manchester of Gurley, has been charged with child abuse.

The Cheyenne County Attorney's Office says Joshua Manchester had sex with the girl between May and September 2004.

The Manchesters are being held in the Cheyenne County jail. Crystal's arraignment is set for Sept. 8, and Joshua's preliminary hearing for Sept. 14.
