TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Two Shawnee County commissioners engaged in a different sort of battle this week.
It wasn't about budgets but about which contestant could fill a baby bottle with goat's milk the fastest.
Vic Miller came out victorious during Friday's fundraiser for the United Way of Greater Topeka. He credited the victory to his goat, named "Milky Way."
The competition took place in a parking lot behind the county courthouse. The event featured food, prizes, a cake walk and a performance by the Topeka West High School drum line. Flu shots also were offered for $25 each.
