CORTLAND, Neb. (AP) - A Nebraska volunteer firefighter who died in 2002 will be among 19 firefighters honored nationally.

Diana Rosene was a volunteer for the Cortland department. She was killed in a traffic accident on her way home from CPR training in February 2002.

She and 18 others will be honored at the National Fallen Firefighters memorial service on Sunday at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md.

Her department's assistant chief described the 47-year-old Rosene as very dedicated.

Rosene joined the department in 1989. A plaque inside the station marks her commitment and her years of service.
