COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) - Central Community College has received an $870,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.
The Columbus-based college's partners for the 3-year Project SHINE grant include the Nebraska departments of Education, Labor and Economic Development. Other partners include the University of Nebraska, Future-Force Nebraska, Columbus Public Schools and Nebraska businesses representing energy, biofuels, food processing and manufacturing.
Doug Pauley is training and development director at CCC's Columbus campus. He says the goal of the project is to bring secondary and college faculty into collaborative relationships with business and industry.
