FALLS CITY, Neb. (AP) - A Kansas man is being held on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old Nebraska girl.

Authorities say 22-year-old William Blacksmith was arrested on a Kansas warrant Sunday in Horton, Kan.

Atchison County Undersheriff Larry Myer says Blacksmith took the Falls City girl to Atchison County Lake in August and raped her there.

Blacksmith is being held in Atchison County Jail. A jail spokeswoman said Wednesday that county records show Blacksmith is seeking free legal aid but an attorney has not yet been appointed for him.
