OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Officials with the University of Nebraska at Omaha are looking for submissions of items to include in the school's centennial time capsule.
Time capsule items will be featured in a display at Criss Library in February 2010 and buried in an interior wall of the Mammel Hall atrium, currently under construction. It is to be opened in 2110.
Seven stainless steel containers will store the donated mementos from students, faculty and staff, alumni and others.
Categories of items sought for the capsule may include toys and novelty items, folk art, items specific to UNO or community partners, and written submissions. Photographs and electronic media like CDs and DVDs will not be accepted.
Items will be accepted through Jan. 5.
