SCHUYLER, Neb. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies and Nebraska State Patrol investigators are still trying to find out what caused a fatal collision on U.S. Highway 30 in eastern Nebraska.
Colfax County authorities say 46-year-old Dan Post of Schuyler was driving a pickup around 4 a.m. Sunday when it was hit from behind by a sport-utility vehicle.
Post was pronounced dead at the scene, about three miles west of Schuyler.
The SUV driver, Tom Reardon of Columbus, was taken to Memorial Hospital in Schuyler for treatment. A hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday that she had no listing for him.
Sheriff Paul Kruse (cruise) said Tuesday that no citations had been issued and that the investigation was continuing.
