Associated Press - November 22, 2009 9:34 PM ET

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A pregnant woman accused of stealing from good Samaritans has been charged with burglary.

Twenty-6-year-old Nicole Bell was charged Friday with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft in Sedgwick County District Court.

Police say Bell knocked on doors of homes in west Wichita and told the residents her car had broken down and she needed to use the phone. Investigators say she took cash at least twice.

Investigators also suspect Bell may have been involved in similar crimes in Goddard and Maize.

Her bail was set at $15,000 and her next court appearance will be Dec. 3.
