Hall County played a key role in three war efforts, but now there's a push to preserve the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant. 
   Artifacts and memories were shared about the plant today, in a presentation covering artillery production during the 1950's and 60's. During that time the plant helped produce bombs for the Korean conflict, and rockets and shells for the Vietnam War before production stopped in 1973.
  "We still have workers who still enjoy coming and seeing pictures of the past that they remember. The productions and seeing coworkers that they have long forgotten about, but it's good to have our history recorded," said presenter Howard Uhrich.
  The ordnance plant also produced artillery during World War II. It was located between Alda and Grand Island, which is now the site of the Heartland Shooting Park.
