Dense fog played a role in a fatal accident near Gibbon. 

The head on collision happened on Highway 30 near Pawnee Road. The Buffalo County Sheriff's department has confirmed one death. The name of that person has not yet been released. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.  

NTV Weather Forecaster Mark Reid said visibility wa only a quarter of a mile and even worse in
some areas.
