Somali Men To Stand Trial for Alleged Gang Murder

Posted: Updated:

A Hall County judge has decided there is enough evidence for alleged Somali gang members to stand trial for murder.

Known as "Big Mo" and "Blacky", Mohamed Abdulkadir and Abdi Mohamed are accused of shooting a Sudanese man to death last August.

After two lengthy hearings and a two week delay, Judge David Bush has bound the men over to district court where they still stand trial.

The men also will face trial in a separate case, accused of shooting a man in a Burger King parking lot.

Reporter's Notes by Steve White:
Deputy Hall County Attorney Lynelle Homolka said she was given until last Friday to file written arguments with the court.

The men will appear in court Dec. 22 for the Burger King shooting, and Dec. 29 for the murder charges.
