Residents of Grand Island can wash dishes and do the laundry again without fear of a sewer back-up.
The city has lifted its sewer emergency, which means people can get back to normal.
They can turn their sprinklers back on and not worry about laundry and dishwashers.
There's still a lot of water in the sewer system, but it's half what it was last week, when nearly half the city's pumps hit new records.
Public Works Director Steve Riehle said, "Things are back to normal at the wastewater plant so
we've lifted the conservation effort and told people they can start doing laundry again and
getting back to a normal way of life."
The flooding is over, but at least one street is still closed. Stagecoach Road is off limits, as city pipes cross the street. Those pipes are pumping water away from affected neighborhoods.
