A special graduation focuses on honor, respect and self-worth. The Nebraska School of Martial Arts in Kearney held its graduation ceremony today.
Family members looked on as the different levels of karate students demonstrated their karate skills. Good Morning Nebraska News Anchor, Marylyn Barnett, particpated in the graduation.
Instructor of the Nebraska School of Martial Arts, John Cahill says, "It's the kind of program that can help boost anyone's confidence, we have 3 year olds to sixty year olds in our
program."
The students who particpate in the school are extremely diverse.
"We have A.D.D. Individuals, we have A.D.H.D. Individuals, we have physical disabilities, and medical disabilities. They all just come to life in our program." added Cahill.
Over 100 individuals graduated to a higher belt level, including several earning their First Degree Black Belt and three earning their Third Degree Black Belt.
