CLAY CENTER, Neb. (AP) - The former Adams County treasurer accused of illegally registering a motor home outside the state has pleaded not guilty to tax evasion and other charges.

Sixty-6-year-old Julia Moeller appeared in Clay County District Court on Wednesday, facing charges of official misconduct, abuse of public records and tax evasion.

The case is being heard by a Clay County district judge after both Adams County district judges recused themselves.

Moeller resigned as treasurer last week, three weeks before a special recall election.

Her next court appearance is set for March 11.
