From the days of being a bushy-tailed, wide-eyed boy, Dave has always found a comfort and familiarity with sports. It truly his dream to cover his passion and bring those reports to Central and Western Nebraska viewers. Whether it is the Huskers football team, local high school sports, or one of the many great area teams, Dave enjoys reporting on all of those topics and even uncovering the less-recognized stories.
While attending UNLV, Dave started his broadcasting career with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL, better known as the "Double-A" of the NHL. He served as an in-game host and statistician for two dominant regular seasons, only to see the guys bounced too early from the Kelly Cup playoffs. He then advanced down the street to assist the Sports Department at KTNV-TV Action News. That is where he developed his interest as a local sports anchor and reporter. Dave then progressed to become the main sports anchor at KTWO in Casper, Wyoming, before moving to the Cornhusker State.
Dave's true passion lies with several teams. As a Colorado native, he closely follows the successes (mostly failures) of the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche. His heart is never far from the UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team. But his biggest love resides with the Detroit Lions. Since the age of 7, Dave has never cared more about one team and one color, Honolulu Blue.
Dave has an affinity for all kinds of athletic events. He attempts, albeit quite painfully, to play golf. He is also a relatively decent skier, considering his 6'6" stature. Camping, hiking, and just about anything else athletically-related peaks his interests.
