Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter
Spencer Schubert was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended Kearney High School before earning his Bachelor's in Broadcastings and News Editorial from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Spencer says he decided on a career in Journalism because "I have a driving curiosity to be informed about anything and everything, and love how no day is like the previous. It keeps life interesting." Spencer spent two summers as an intern at NTV, worked as a sports talk radio co-host of Friday Night Scoreboard Show on ESPN Radio 1480, was a play-by-play announcer for 21 sports and a play-by-play announcer for the Lincoln Saltdogs. Spencer was driven to work at NTV because of his desire to cover the news in his hometown.
Spencer is a sports enthusiast and loves to play golf, pick-up basketball games and any intramural sports offered throughout the city. He is also quite the world traveler, having been to several different countries including Greece, Italy, Mexico, England, Germany, Morocco and more!
