When was your school founded? 1960. We just celebrated 50 years.

Is your school consolidated? Private school

What towns are your students from? Kearney, Shelton, Axtell and Glenwood.

How many students are in your school? 380

How many are in your band? 70 (8-12)

How many years has your band been attending the Harvest of Harmony? I would guess over 20.

What songs will the band be playing this year? We are performing a 70s rock show. Songs include "Who are You," by The Who, "Don't Stop," by Fleetwood Mac and "We're an American Band," by Grand Funk Railroad.

Why did you choose those songs? It's been a while since we've done a rock show. I wanted to add color and driving beats with the drumlin. 

What previous awards has your band won? Our band has received superior ratings, best drumline and colorguard awards and field show awards. They have also received the NSBA Excellence in Academic Achievement award for having a high GPA within the band program.

Interesting facts or trivia: We just received new uniforms last season. We also took a trip to Colorado and went to Pikes Peak, white water rafting, Elitch Gardens, Air Force Cathedral and Garden of the Gods. Our next trip will be in Spring of 2013 and we don't know where yet. Our band is made up of 8^th-12^th-graders.

How long have you been the band director? This is my fourth year at KCHS and my sixth year teaching.
