Weekend Anchor/Reporter
Annie Andrews, who co-anchors the weekend newscasts and reports from the Grand Island Bureau for NTV News, has no shortage of drive or enthusiasm for her chosen field. "I have a passion for hearing stories and learning about how they affect local people, businesses and government."
Annie is a native of Minnesota, and graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN where she majored in History and Pre-Law. From there, she attended graduate school at American University in Washington DC and received her Master's Degree in Journalism and Public Affairs. While at American, Annie worked the school's newspaper and television station, serving as a reporter, anchor, editor and assignment editor throughout her tenure.
Following grad school, Annie interned with Fox News in New York, where she created and managed their intern website: FNCU. She was later hired on by Fox News and worked on FOX and Friends and with America's Newsroom assisting anchor, Megyn Kelly.
Annie's career goals of being on-air brought her back to the Midwest. Even though she was born in Minnesota, Annie is now happy to call Nebraska her home. Outside of the office, Annie loves the outdoors and the fantastic football Nebraska has to offer. She and her fiancé, Joshua, enjoy trap shooting, gardening, and spending time with their two miniature pinschers. And even though she is no longer pursuing it as a career, Annie is able to make the unique claim that she is an internationally ranked downhill ski racer.
