Baer Photography Trades Dog Food for Pet Photography

Posted: Updated:

KEARNEY - During the entire month of February, Baer Photography will be accepting one large bag of Science Diet pet food as payment for a pet session fee. All pet food and a portion of all sales from the sessions will be donated to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter.

Brian Baer, portrait artist and owner of Baer Photography in Kearney says, "Our family admires the work done by the Kearney Area Animal Shelter in our community, and we want to use our talents to help with their mission." Baer added, "We've seen photographers in other communities run similar promotions that have netted over a ton of dog food."

Baer says the promotion is simple and straight forward. In exchange for a donation, Baer Photography will create a professional portrait of your pet, or create a family portrait which includes your pet.

According to Jamie Jensen, director of operations at the Kearney Animal Shelter, "Food is a large expense for our shelter. We are very appreciative and happy to accept approved items, monetary donations and we are always looking for additional volunteers."

An official wish list and volunteer application can be found at www.KearneyHumane.com.

The Kearney Area Animal Shelter is located at 3205 W. Hwy 30. Regular adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 1-5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 4 p.m.

To schedule a portrait appointment for your pet, call Baer Photography at (308) 234-2601 or visit www.BaerSeniors.com.
