
UNK - Memorial services have been set for a former University of Nebraska professor who passed away Saturday.
Dr. Harland Hoffman, a former UNK emeritus professor of English, passed away Saturday in a Tulsa, Okla., hospital.
Hoffman was a faculty member at Kearney State College/University of Nebraska at Kearney from 1962-1993. He served as chair of the department of English for more than 10 years before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Janis of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his son Lamont of Mansfield, Texas; and his brother John of Overland Park, Kan.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Okla. Condolences may be sent to 1329 North Willow Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
