A 20-year-old North Platte man charged with abusing his 3-month-old baby has waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to district court.

Russ Bennett was arrested by North Platte police last month after a local medical facility discovered that this child's left arm was fractured.

Bennett is charged with committing intentional child abuse -- a Class 3A felony -- and is being held in the Lincoln County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.

A court date has yet to be determined.
