Two separate traffic stops in Central Nebraska have led to three arrests and the seizure of more than 11 pounds of marijuana.

Jenna Gough, 23, and Ryne Harwick, 25, of Lake Geneva, Wis., were arrested just before 10 p.m. Sunday on I-80 near Kearney after police pulled them over for license plate obstruction and discovered a jar of marijuana sitting between Harwick's legs.

A probable cause search led to the seizure of 4.8 pounds of marijuana from backseat of the car.

Gough was taken to the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Harwick was lodged in the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

In a separate stop Monday, Ian Schmidbauer, 26, Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested after a Nebraska State Patrol canine discovered 6.5 pounds of pot in a car he was a passenger in.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-80 near Grand Island when it was pulled over by a trooper for having a white light to the rear.

Schmidbauer was taken to the Hall County Jail on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
