Hall County has dropped a tax appeal against one of the area's largest manufacturing plants.
The CNH plant makes Case IH and New Holland combines.
The county set the property tax value for the plant at about $24 million.
CNH objected and the state tax commission lowered the property value to $12 million.
Hall County planned to appeal, but today dropped their case after an outside appraisal backed up the lower figure.
On Tuesday, the county board met behind closed doors for a lengthy period of time with the county assessor and representative from the county attorney's office. Afterwards, they took action to drop their appeal.
