Local citizen Joe Poggioli Jr. is spearheading an effort in order to nominate Yanney Park as the favorite park in the country. Coca-Cola is calling people out to their favorite park to vote this summer in the third annual "America is Your Park" campaign.
Your vote for Yanney Park can help the city win the title of "America's Favorite Park" and a $100,000 recreation grant from Coca-Cola.
You can vote online by going to https://apps.facebook.com/coca-colaparks/, clicking on "Online" and using the map to search for Yanney Park. Once you find it, click on "Yanney Park" and click the "Vote for this Park" button and follow the directions to vote. Vote as many times as you'd like.
Voters can also earn 100 votes when you "check in" from Foursquare. Just click the link "Foursquare Check-in" and accept the permissions. Then check to see if Yanney Park is in the list of parks before going outdoors. Now you're ready to go out to the park and vote using the foursquare mobile app.
A $50,000 grant will be awarded to the park that comes in second place and $25,000 to the third-place winner. A $5,000 grant will be awarded, at random, to a park that comes in fourth to 25th place on the leaderboard by the end of the contest.
