A 31-year-old Grand Island man will serve six years in prison for distributing child porn in 2010.
Judge Joseph Bataillon sentenced Arik Lemburg to six years in an Omaha federal court, U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg announced Monday.
There is no parole in the federal system.
Investigators with the Nebraska Attorney General's Office Rural Cyber Crimes Task Force discovered child pornography on Lemburg's computer sometime before Nov. 19, 2010, while conducting undercover computer investigations.
Lemburg was offering the child porn for others to download.
On Nov. 19, 2010, authorities searched Lemburg's Grand Island home and found over 2,700 videos of child pornography, including videos of 8-year-old children in bondage and engaged in sexual acts.
Lemburg admitted to investigators that they would find child porn on his computer and told them they would "find enough to put him away for 40 years," according to a press release from Gilg.
After his release from prison, Lemburg will be on supervised release for 10 years.
