A Bellevue man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for using hidden video cameras in his bathroom to make child porn.

Mark Roble, 52, was sentenced in an Omaha federal court by Judge Laurie Smith Camp.

On June 10, 2011, members of the FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force, including officers of the Bellevue Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol, found 2,000 videos of child porn on Roble's computer while serving a search warrant at his home.

Authorities say Roble had installed small hidden cameras in his bathroom to capture a child using the toilet and shower. Police found videos of the child at 8- and 14-years-old, and say he or she was unaware they were being taped.

Police haven't said what relationship Roble has to the child.

Roble admitted to putting the cameras in a position to record the child in the bathroom and shower when the child would likely be unclothed. He also told police he had been collecting child porn since the early 1990s.

There is no parole in the federal system. After his release from prison, Roble will begin a 15-year term of supervised release.
