United Way Hopes to Raise Funds at 10th Annual Moo-Claw

Grand Island– The Heartland United Way's 10^th Annual Moo-Claw fundraiser will take place Friday at the Heartland Events Center.

The event will feature live music by steel drum band Soca Jukebox.

The fundraiser includes grilled Nebraska steak and fresh lobster flown in from the East Coast. Dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with live entertainment from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Last year, over 650 community members from Grand Island and several surrounding communities attended Moo-Claw.  The event raised over $17,000 in 2011 to help support community programs and services provided by local United Way partner agencies.

All proceeds benefit the Heartland United Way and 16 partner agencies.
