Buffalo County fairgoers come to Kearney to have fun and help boost the economy as well.

The Buffalo County Fair continues to roll on with day three of rides, ag events and displays.

As the economy and gas prices continues to play a big part in how people are spending their summers, this week-long event aims to share with fair-goers that they can stay and have just as much fun in their community's backyard.

"People are deciding to stay more local and it brings business to the Kearney area, which is really important, which is why we have it, to entertain the folks," said Buffalo Co. Ag Association's Jenny Gierhan. "And we don't have the town days like Kearney Days doesn't exist, so Buffalo County Fair takes the place of that and we're really proud of it and what we've done with our entertainment."

The fair continues through Monday night with another concert featuring Rodney Adkins on July 28th and events including a demolition derby and carnival rides.
