Celebrating our heritage, Hall County pays tribute to its German forefathers as well as the modern immigrants who keep the area vibrant.
The Hall County Historical Society dedicated a new heritage memorial Tuesday.
It's at the historic Stolley Park in Grand Island and features tiles that support historic preservation, in recognition of those past and present who have built the community.
Ernie Thayer said, "There's a rich history and a lot of determination and a lot of different backgrounds came in here and put it all together and it's continued on very well."
Speakers highlighted Hall County notables, from former Husker star Scott Frost to the Abbott sisters who were pioneers for children's and women's rights.
