GI Mayor Censured - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The mayor of Grand Island has been formally censured, a public reprimand after a tense public meeting where his actions were called into question.

City council members voted 7-1, after a heated exchange that lasted more than an hour and a half at an unprecedented late Friday afternoon meeting.

The ruling does not affect day to day operations at city hall, however, it was a strong statement from the council.
