Thieves caught on tape are targeting rural schools in Southern Nebraska and Northern Kansas.
The Furnas County Sheriff's Department investigates break-ins at Cambridge Community School and Southern valley in the past three days.
Five thieves wearing hoodies and masks broke into the Cambridge school breaking windows and stealing T-v's Ipads and cash.
Video surveillance at Cambridge captured part of the crime leading investigators to act swiftly.
"We're going to try our hardest to follow any leads that we possibly can to solve any crime that occurs, whether it's large scale burglary or a small residential break- in," said Furnas County Sheriff Investigator Nicholas Vargas. "We're going to do what we can to try and track down the people who are responsible for it."
Law enforcement from across the region gathered in McCook to share information in all these cases. Other schools reporting break-ins include Hayes Center, Mc Cook and up to four in Kansas.
REPORTER'S NOTES: Officials urge the public if they see anything suspicious or have any information at all about these break-ins, call the Furnas County Sheriff's Department at 866-274-4391 or your local law enforcement agency.
