With time ticking into the future, a new restaurant takes us back in the day.
Another new restaurant is close to opening in downtown Kearney. Fat Katz Rock N Roll Cafe observed its soft opening this weekend, featuring a 60's and 70's vibe and American style food using fresh ingredients.
The owner is no stranger to the area, and knows the value of coming to Kearney.
"The community is such a nice thriving community, we have an excellent opportunity with the downtown area here with the businesses to support the other businesses," said Owner Michael Katzburg. "Being able to grab something to eat when they need it, the campus being close by, students having access to wi-fi, so you can sit down, get a little work done, plus have a bite to eat. I think we're good for the community and the community is good for us."
Fat Katz is in the Kaufmann building and will officially open its doors August 6th at 11am.
REPORTER'S NOTES: Restaurant hours will be 11a-9pm Sunday through Thursdays, and 11a-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and will be available for dine in, take out or delivery service.
