The Kool-Aid exhibit at the Hastings Museum re-opens on Friday, Aug. 10.
Over $60,000 was spent on renovations in the exhibit, with a large portion of those funds used to update the technology that tells visitors the story of Kool-Aid's creation.
Another significant change in the newly renovated exhibit involves providing details about the inventor of Kool-Aid, Edwin Perkins.
The Hastings Museum will host an exclusive opening of the Kool-Aid: Discover the Dream Exhibit for Museum members and media on Thursday night, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (reservations required).
On Friday, Aug. 10, the exhibit opens to the public during normal Museum hours. Special activities on Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. include a Kool-Aid stand, games, food, music and fun, to celebrate the reopening of the Kool-Aid exhibit and the kick-off of Kool-Aid Days in Hastings.
