Convicted Sex Offender Pleads Not Guilty to New Charge - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

Donald Warfield, 69, of North Platte, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Police say a 15-year-old told investigators that Warfield began to touch her inappropriately when she was 7, and that he continued for three or four years.

Warfield was previously convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old in 2002.

Warfield was arrested earlier this year for failing to properly register as a sex offender. He later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
