Around the House- Central NE Home Care

Many people may have difficulties getting in and out of a chair. A lift chair may be the answer to their problem.

These chairs change how individuals with mobility issues get up and down in their own home and in other areas such as work. They make it possible for a person to sit and stand all on their own.

There are different types of lift chairs. They can resemble different types of chairs such as recliners, dining room chairs, and desk chairs. They all serve the same purpose to make sure the individual using them can get up and down without assistance and without harming themselves.

Probably the most popular types of lift chairs are the lift recliners. These resemble regular reclining chairs. The difference is these have one or two motors inside of them to control the mechanisms involved in helping the person sit easily, find a comfortable position, and then stand up again.

These chairs are controlled by an attached remote control or sometimes a wand. These controls will allow the individual to make the chair stand up, lie back in different positions, and even control the footrest.

Lifting chairs that are not the reclining style typically only have one position that they move to. This is to rise up so the person can sit down more easily and then be brought back to a standing position.

There are different models for all areas of a house, business, or any other type of area. They all serve this same purpose.

If the person spends a lot of time at their desk, they might try looking for a lift desk chair that also has a moveable back. This is to ensure they remain comfortable at their desk as most people with limited mobility have various back pains.
