This is an email NTV's Annie Andrews received from Blair Bauer, cousin of Caroline Thallman. They both met at the Nebraska State Fair. Below is the email and above is the video of Annie recalling that day and what it meant to her.
I am emailing you on behalf of my aunt and uncle, Mark and Cheryl Thallman. Their daughter, my cousin, was killed in the bus accident south of Blue Hill Wednesday. They wanted me to let you know how much Caroline enjoyed being interviewed. She had some great experiences right before this happened and her parents wanted you to know they are grateful for the experience you were part of. None of us could have foreseen this tragedy, but they are reflecting on things they are thankful she was able to experience in her short life. I know she was excited about it and had her mom post the picture attached to Facebook right away to have everyone tune in to watch the state fair coverage.
