"No Waffle Cone Wednesday This Week" left many upset as they walked into the TCBY of Kearney. But, once customers found out that TCBY would be closing their doors for good, many customers were upset while some are looking forward to what is next.
"[I'm] going to miss it for a little bit. It's always been apart of my life," said Noland Thurston, customer.
"As things go away, new things come. Hopefully something good will come out of this," said Kenadi Fitzgerald, customer.
TCBY will be serving the last scoop sometime this week. The store was slated to stay open until the end of September, but the store was not able to meet financial needs until the end of the month.
"I'm just really sad that it has to happen, but it just has come to the point where it has to be done," said Erica Roper, store manager.
Roper is just one of the many who has been employed at TCBY for awhile, and agrees that as toppings go away quickly the next few days, the memories never will.
"The people and my employees that I've gotten to know over the years...it has been a blast," said Roper.
The property is in need of updates if someone does decide to purchase the property. Roughly $50,000 dollars would need to be spent in order to put the property into TCBY's standards.
