The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary held their annual ‘A River Runs Through It' fundraising event on Friday, September 7.
The annual event raised approximately $15,000 for the non-profit.
As fit for the theme, nature provided a beautiful backdrop for the 100 plus individuals who attended the fundraising event with a colorful setting sun and an expansive Platte River view. Guests were entertained by the BC Hand Drum Posse and treated to cuisine by the renowned Nebraska's Lied Lodge Executive Chef Matthew Taylor.
The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation of the Platte River and the birds that rely on it.
The funds raised will be used to support this mission.
Located along the Platte River south of Gibbon, Nebraska, Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary is open year-round and features hand-on nature education programs for children and adults. For more information or to volunteer, please visit rowe.audubon.org or call 308-468-5282.
