The United Soybean Board has appointed 16 new people to serve on the national board.
Among the new people is a Nebraska man, Mark Caspers, and an Iowa woman, Laura Foell.
They were
nominated by their state soybean boards and will serve three-year terms
beginning in December.
Tom Vilsack, U.S. Department of Agriculture secretary, said in a news release that the 16 appointees represent a cross section of the soybean industry.
The 69-member United Soybean Board
describes its mission as investing and leveraging soybean checkoff funds
to maximize profit opportunities for U.S. soybean farmers.
