Welcome Reception to be Held for GI Fire Chief - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

Grand Island- A welcome reception for Fire Chief Cory Schmidt will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at City Hall, 100 East 1^st Street.

During the study session there will be a pinning ceremony where Mayor Vavricek will present Cory Schmidt with his Fire Chief badge. Pinning ceremonies are part of the Fire Department's tradition when a member is promoted.
