A Melbeta man is accused of assaulting his wife with a sandwich.
Larry Spurling, 50, has been charged with
disturbing the peace following an altercation with his wife. According to the police report, Spurling's wife
called police Sunday evening and told them he pushed her down during an
argument and rubbed a sandwich in her face.
The deputy that responded to the call said he found several
pieces of lunchmeat on the carpet outside a bedroom and some pieces of
bread in the bedroom.
Spurling appeared in Scotts Bluff County
Court on Monday for the misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace.
