Grand Island- The city of Grand Island Public Works Department has issued a project update on the work related to repairs being made to lift station seven.
The hike and bike trail from Grant to Blaine Streets has been reopened to the public. The Curtis/Ada Streets section of the trail will continue to be closed through Sunday, Oct. 14.
Arthur Street between Lamar Street and Phoenix Avenue, as well as the intersection of Lamar Avenue and Arthur Street, are both now open to the public.
Another closure on Seedling Mile Access Road, from East Highway 30 to Seedling Mile Road, will be in effect from Oct. 3-4 for shoulder widening work.
The Eddy Street underpass will also be closed beginning on Monday, Oct. 8. This closure is anticipated to take approximately three weeks.
During this time, the Grand Island Streets Division will be performing necessary repairs including full-depth concrete pavement patching, crack sealing, and rewiring the east walkway lights.
