The November election is approaching and the deadline to register is even closer.
The last day to register to vote in the November 6th General Election is October 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the Office of the County Clerk.
All persons wishing to vote must be United States citizens, Nebraska residents and must be at least 18 on or before November 6th. Eligible applicants must complete a Nebraska Voter Registration Application, which requires: their name; Residence address; Postal address, if different from their residence address; Date of birth; Party affiliation, or indication of no affiliation; Valid Nebraska driver's license number or the last four digits of their social security number and their signature.
A voter can check the status of his voter registration and, if necessary, download a voter registration form on the Secretary of State's website: www.sos.ne.gov.
The voter registration form may be mailed to their local county clerk postmarked by October 19th.
