Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Eric Kauffman was presented with the Nebraska Society, Sons of the
American Revolution 2012 Law Enforcement Award Sunday.
The award ceremony took place at Mahoney State Park and included the presentation of the organization's Law Enforcement Commendation Medal and certificate.
Kauffman, 32, has been with the agency for nine years and is a member of the NSP Field Services Division
assigned to Troop A Omaha.
"The honor bestowed on Trooper
Kauffman is a reflection of his dedication and service to the citizens of
Nebraska," said Colonel David Sankey, superintendent of the Nebraska State
Patrol. "Trooper Kauffman demonstrates the Patrol's commitment to duty and we
congratulate him on this award."
The
award is presented to a law enforcement officer who has served with distinction
and devotion, supporting the principles of true patriotism while demonstrating
a commitment to public safety.
