An Adams County board meeting was interrupted when Dale Curtis, 65, Adams County supervisor, had to be rushed to the hospital after becoming unresponsive during the meeting.
Curtis was transported to Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings Tuesday morning.
Curtis was sitting at the board meeting and had appeared to have
fallen asleep. Others at the meeting tried to wake him, but he was unresponsive.
They called 911 and retrieved a defibrillator from the courthouse. A
sheriff's deputy assisted at the scene until emergency crews arrived.
Curtis was revived and speaking by the time he was taken out of the
building.
Curtis was listed in stable condition late Tuesday afternoon.
